As stated on the main story page, Lights of Life is currently undergoing major revisions.
While working on the outline, I realized the story is actually two stories in one.
The first half is a love story. It's where Jess and Kaylee meet and fall in love. Then the second half kicks in and it becomes a war story and you get to watch their love get tested to the breaking point, only to become stronger because of it, and it's their love that ultimately saves the day.
Once I figured all that out (and completed the outline), I realized I needed to give that first half more attention and some breathing room, so it would have a little more in-story time to happen. The original version just always felt rushed to me.
But now I've written what I think is a much better beginning for the story that also helps meld the two halves into one cohesive whole, though I'm still considering publishing the story as two books in a duology due to the estimated lengths of each part.
What all this means is that if you buy a story membership for Lights of Life, while you will get to read the rest of the available chapters, it's an incomplete story and you're actually getting to read my first draft, not the final version. For now.
As I get more of the revisions completed, I'll eventually catch up to what's posted online and replace those first draft chapters with the new version (though the original version will remain available as an ebook download), and then I'll finally be able to start posting new chapters as I complete them.
If you do decide to take a chance on Lights, you'll of course get updates on my progress as I make those new revised chapters available (either privately on Google docs or when I post them on this site). And even if I do split the story up into 2 books, you'll still get access to both at no further cost to you.
