Membership Info

There are only two types of paid membership:

  • Site Membership - $50
    Grants access to all the stories posted on the site.

  • Story Membership - $10
    Grants access to one particular story posted on the site.

The above prices are one-time fees, not monthly charges. You pay once and get lifetime access for as long as this site exists. (It was established in 2000 and I've paid for my domain up through 2044, if that helps.)

For a Story Membership, this means when you support my writing by signing up for an incomplete story, you're essentially 'pre-buying' the finished story, so you won't have to pay again to access new chapters as they become available.

For a Site Membership, this means as new stories or books in a series are added to the site, even though the price of the Site Membership will increase for new members, you'll receive access to those new stories at no further cost.

This is because the Site Membership always includes access to all the stories on the site, regardless of whether they were added after the Site Membership was acquired.

You'll also get access to the ebook files (EPUB) associated with your membership, which you can download to read offline wherever you want.

The files have no DRM (digital rights management) protection, so please don't post them anywhere or share them with anyone else. If you start giving copies to others, that's theft and copyright infringement. Please don't do it.

Whenever a story you're subscribed to is updated or added, you'll be notified at the email address listed on your account.

Story update notices are considered part of the administration (servicing) of your account, so you cannot unsubscribe from such emails and you must keep your email address up-to-date.

I only update a few times a year, so you're likely to wish I would email you more, not less, because it'll mean you have something new to read. :)

A few final caveats.

I do not and will not guarantee any future updates to any of the stories on the site. Your membership fee is for access to what is on the site at the moment you join.

Think of it this way. Instead of asking you to pay again and again as I add new content, your membership fee goes towards paying me for all the work I've already done. Everything after that is a bonus.

Also, once your payment goes through and your membership becomes active, you get instant access to the stories on the site, as well as the ability to download the ebooks.

It would be very easy for someone to buy a membership, download all the ebooks, and then request a refund, meaning they'd get all my work for free. There is literally no way I can protect against that kind of fraud.

Therefore, I do not offer refunds.

I realize this makes purchasing a Site Membership a bit more of a leap of faith, but that's one of the reasons I offer the option of trading in up to two Story Memberships towards the price of a Site Membership.

If you like all the sample chapters you've read so far, but you're unsure about committing to a Site Membership, you can choose one particular story for a fraction of the cost to test the waters. If you like the rest of the available chapters, you can buy another Story Membership.

If that second story meets (or hopefully exceeds) your expectations, you should feel confident enough to cover the rest of the amount to upgrade to a Site Membership. Simply contact me to get a coupon code worth what you paid for your Story Memberships to apply to your new Site Membership.

Hey,

Sorry for the fake out, but I don't collect email addresses for marketing purposes.

I was just told I needed an email signup form on my pages, so I created this one as part of the original design, then changed my mind, but decided to leave this here as an Uno reverse card. :)

Anyway, my stories are my sales pitch and if the free chapters (and entire books) aren't enough to convince you to pay for access to more of the same, then I don't see how my bugging you with emails is going to change your mind.

Plus, I have social phobia and trying to come up with marketing emails is my definition of an anxiety-inducing nightmare.

Not to mention that's not what I want to be doing with my precious writing time or wasting your precious reading time.

So, if you want to get an email from me, you'll either have to purchase a Story or Site Membership, or email me directly and talk to me about my stories.

Or ask me a question and I'll do my best to answer.

But seriously, email me about my stories.

Tell me what you liked, what you wish I'd done differently, your favorite scenes.

Especially if there's one story in particular you'd like me to update. I know some of them have been sorely neglected and it motivates me to work on them when my anxiety and chronic pain are making that more difficult than usual.
