Guess what? I finally finished Xena: Warrior Slave IV. I also decided to set the series up the way the rest of my stories are, so there is now an intro page with the four parts listed on it and the Story Index links to the intro page rather than each part. So don't freak out if you go to the Story Index and the other parts are missing. :)

Normally, I would put up a refresher for what's been happening in the story, since it's been so long since I posted the last part, but what would I say? "Xena and Gabrielle had just finished having sex again." Yeah, that clears it up. :) Anyway, go enjoy. And since I got so much e-mail regarding this story and when I was going to post something on it again, it would be nice if you could let me know whether you liked it or not (basically, if you can write me to complain, you can write me to comment on it).

I created an Archive section for the year 2001 (the link is up above). I've also created BetaWolf, a group for my new beta readers, which will hopefully be able to help me improve my writing, as well as get installments finished and ready for posting faster. I've also reorganized my Story Index because of a suggestion made by one of my readers. The Home page has also had a few modifications made to it.

Next on my list of things to do is update all my copyright notices, update all The Bard's Corner versions of my stories (need new URLs, as well as the latest chapters for several stories), and finish up my girlfriend's poetry site (it's so close to being done, just needs a final run through to make sure everything's right). And of course, I need to send a certain vampire chapter to BetaWolf for proofing. :)

...several hours later...

Okay, I changed all the copyright notices on my site and I updated all the stories for The Bard's Corner and sent them off to MaryD, so hopefully the stuff arrived okay and it'll be up in the next week or two. Oh, and I did send the chapter to the list, so we'll see what I have to fix before I can post it.

...20 minutes before midnight and many hours later...

I'm loving this beta reading thing. :) I got some great feedback, which I plan to put to use as soon as I get the chance to write again, so the next chapter of Bloodlines should be ready soon. And MaryD told me the new stuff would be up in her next update.

Well, Bloodlines needed more work than I thought. :) However, I have managed to finish up my girlfriend's website (just in time for Valentine's Day), so why don't you go over there and check it out? The URL is:

http://www.geocities.com/roarinfire/

There's one story and a ton of poetry for you to read (there's even a picture of me that was taken just this past January, in case you've ever wanted to see what I look like :) Just look for the poem titled "Thoughts of You" and no I'm not linking to it, you have to go look for yourself :)).

Her poetry isn't like the usual stuff that most people seem to write. She writes in plain English. Normally, I'm not into poetry (I can never understand what the author is trying to say), but I "get" the stuff she writes, so even if you're not usually into poetry either, go read some of hers. Oh, and she's not expecting anyone to really take notice of her writing, so if her words do touch you at all, please let her know. There's an e-mail link to her at the bottom of every page, so there's no excuse not to give her some feedback. :)

Chapter 6 of Bloodlines is ready for public consumption. I would just like to thank all you Beta Wolves for the wonderful feedback you've given me. This chapter would not be nearly as good as I think it is, if not for you guys. :) Thank you for reading some of my not-so-clear ramblings and helping me smooth those rough edges. You guys are really cool. :)

Oh, and as a refresher (since it's been four and a half months since I posted on this story), Gabrielle and her group were on their way to Argentina after Gabrielle spent the previous evening talking and dancing with Avarice in Los Angeles, CA. Clark, however, was unaware that the vampires were leaving because her alert program didn't alert her. The story picks up with Clark waking up the next morning.

At long last, Chapter 12 of Assassin is done. It was greatly improved with the help of my Beta Wolves and I thank all of you for the great feedback I've been getting. You make me think more broadly than I would by myself.

As a refresher, Rain had talked to Doc about completing her assignment and had learned that Antonio intends to have her replace Case soon. Case had gone out to check her truck for possible tampering. The story picks up with Case looking over (or rather under) her truck.

Okay, A Friend In Need, Part III is up and ready to be viewed. There are two different endings for you to choose from: either they both live or they both die. After watching the series finale, I am more convinced than ever that they forgot to show the last hour of the episode (and it was an excellent episode, they just shouldn't have stopped where they did).

I hope you like what I came up with as my version(s) of the series finale. If you don't, I'm sure there will be plenty of bards who start offering their own visions. Just wait a few days/weeks and they'll probably start popping up all over the place. Take care everyone. And don't forget to let me know what you think. :)

Ever wonder what happened to that frustrating tease of a story I called A Bondage Primer? You know, the one I haven't updated in over a year? Well, I've been revising it and adding to it and now I finally have some new stuff ready for everyone to read. I previously only had days 1, 2, 3, and 5 posted. Well, now there are days 1-10 available for you to read.

If you've previously read this story, you should definitely reread it or you might get confused (for one thing, I've changed the main characters' names to Ryan (Xena) and McKenzie (Gabrielle)). It is still unfinished (only the first 10 days out of 180), but in my opinion it's not really one of those cliffhanger stories, so I think it's okay to read incomplete (considering the unlikelihood of this story getting finished in the next decade, if you don't read it incomplete, you're probably never going to). Let me know what you think of the revisions and the new stuff.

Also, since I only had two responses to my request for beta testers for the new design of my site, I've decided to use this as an opportunity to get everyone to beta test for me whether you like it or not. Actually, it's not that big of a deal, since my entire site will eventually be redone in this style and you'll have to check it out anyways in order to read my latest stories. And it's not like you even have to comment on the design when you write to me to tell me what you thought of the story (meaning you will write to me to tell me what you thought of the story :)).

Oh, and if you want to see what some of the stories are that I'm always talking about that I'm working on but am not posting yet (and won't for some time), click on the Stories link on the new design pages. You'll be able to see a listing of just about all of the stories I'm working on right now, as well as all the titles you're familiar with (most of the links on this page do not work, this is just a preview of what will be on the site once I'm finished getting it done; certain site navigation links (Home, What's New etc.) on the Text Only Version pages don't work either).

And if you're looking for the Printer Friendly Version of A Bondage Primer, click on the Text Only Version link at the bottom of the page. There will be a Text Only Version for every page of my site so that anyone who's not impressed with my graphics, or who has problems due to an older browser, will still be able to use my site.

This is a test. This is only a test. Well, I've got the What's New page working. Now to create the archive pages and then transfer the old archives so that those pages have content.

I've been creating covers for my stories. Assassin, Bard... Priestess, A Bondage Primer: 180 Days, A Friend In Need, Part III, and The Kiss: Take Two all have book covers now. I'm really proud of the most recent one, A Friend In Need, Part III. I worked on it with Corene (my amazing girlfriend) and together I think we came up with something really cool. I like it, anyway.

Okay, I've got a bunch more stories transferred to the site from the old site. Everything up to Symbionts should work now on the Stories page, so that just leaves the last three. I'll try to get those done today. Then I'll start going through the other sections of the site to make them work (like the Downloads, Links, etc.).

A little while later...

All of the links in the Stories section work and each of the stories with chapters posted also work. On to the other sections, though most likely not today.

Well, if I was smart, I'd be stringing this update out to make it last longer, but I'm impatient, so you're getting both new chapters of Assassin at the same time. Chapters 14 and 15 have been added to the site, so go read them.

As a refresher, since it's been six months since the last update on this one, Case and Rain were on their way to one of Case's martial arts instructors for a little practice. The story picks up with them in the truck on the way over.

I also want to just say that my BetaWolves are the best. They made these two chapters so much better than they started out to be. Thanks, guys.

One last thing. Just as a heads up, I have the next three chapters of Bloodlines going through the beta process and I've been working a lot on New Gaia, so those two stories should be getting updated within the next month or so (sooner for Bloodlines, later for New Gaia).

Just as I promised, chapters 7, 8, and 9 of Bloodlines have been posted. Since it's been about eight months since I last updated this story, here's a refresher. Clark had followed Gabrielle to Australia where Gabrielle was visiting her friend Kevyn. She told him about Clark and they talked. There were vague references about Gabrielle being afraid that Clark would "blame her" if she learned the truth and we will now be learning what that truth is, along with a ton of other stuff. :)

Oh, and you should thank my girlfriend for converting the chapters to HTML for me because without her, you wouldn't have been reading this until after the weekend.

Hey,

Sorry for the fake out, but I don't collect email addresses for marketing purposes.

I was just told I needed an email signup form on my pages, so I created this one as part of the original design, then changed my mind, but decided to leave this here as an Uno reverse card. :)

Anyway, my stories are my sales pitch and if the free chapters (and entire books) aren't enough to convince you to pay for access to more of the same, then I don't see how my bugging you with emails is going to change your mind.

Plus, I have social phobia and trying to come up with marketing emails is my definition of an anxiety-inducing nightmare.

Not to mention that's not what I want to be doing with my precious writing time or wasting your precious reading time.

So, if you want to get an email from me, you'll either have to purchase a Story or Site Membership, or email me directly and talk to me about my stories.

Or ask me a question and I'll do my best to answer.

But seriously, email me about my stories.

Tell me what you liked, what you wish I'd done differently, your favorite scenes.

Especially if there's one story in particular you'd like me to update. I know some of them have been sorely neglected and it motivates me to work on them when my anxiety and chronic pain are making that more difficult than usual.

Hope to hear from you soon. :)

Take care,

Kodi
